Report a concern
If something is wrong — a child's safety, a caregiver's behaviour, how you have been treated — we want to hear it, and we would rather hear it early and be wrong than late and be right. You can do this without giving your name.
What happens when you use this form
- We do not retaliate. Ever. Raising a concern will not cost you shifts, hours, your job, or your family's placement. If anyone treats you differently for using this form, that is itself a thing to report — and there are outside agencies listed below who enforce it if we fail.
- Only administrators can read reports. Not your supervisor, not the recruiter you deal with, not the caregiver or family your concern is about.
- Every time a report is opened, we record who opened it. That log exists so the promise above can be checked rather than just believed.
- Anonymous means anonymous. Choose it and we store no name, no email, no phone number, and no record of the device or connection you sent it from — even if you are signed in to our app right now.
You can also report outside the company
You are never required to tell us first, or at all. If you would rather raise this with someone independent — or you have told us and nothing happened — these are the people to contact. Reporting to them is your right, and we will not treat you differently for using it.
If a child is in immediate danger
Call 911.
Do this first and tell us afterwards. Nothing on this page should delay that call.
Suspected child abuse or neglect
In Washington, one statewide line takes every report, 24 hours a day. California has no statewide number — you report to the county where the child lives.
If you are punished for speaking up
Retaliation — being fired, given fewer shifts, demoted or harassed because you raised a concern — is illegal, and these agencies enforce that. Both states give you six months from the retaliation to file, so do not sit on it while you wait for us.
If your concern involves a licensed child care facility
These two lines regulate licensed child care centres and family child care homes. Care in a family's own home is usually not licensed, so they may direct you elsewhere — but they are the right call if a licensed facility is involved.
